Little Elm High School Senior Selected for 2026 Texas All-State Percussion Ensemble

Little Elm High School senior Christopher Seymour has been selected to perform with the 2026 Texas All-State Percussion Ensemble, one of the highest honors a Texas music student can achieve.

Christopher, a member of the Little Elm High School Band, will rehearse and perform as part of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Clinic/Convention, held February 11–14, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio. He will perform in the All-State concert on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Each year, approximately 60,000 students from across Texas enter the rigorous All-State audition process. Of those, only 1,830 students—about the top 3%—are selected to perform in one of 18 All-State ensembles. Students advance through multiple rounds of auditions at the District, Region, Area, and State levels before earning All-State recognition.

Christopher was selected through this highly competitive, multi-level adjudication process and will perform under the direction of a nationally recognized conductor. This marks his first time being named a member of a TMEA All-State organization.

Founded in 1920, the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting high-quality music education for all Texas students. With more than 20,400 members, including 14,100 school music educators, TMEA provides professional development, advocacy, scholarships, and student programs statewide.
