Little Elm ISD continues to make meaningful progress, with student growth and achievement driving improvements across the District.

Little Elm ISD earned an overall accountability rating of 78, placing the District just two points away from a “B” rating. The District also earned a “B” in Student Achievement, reflecting continued progress in helping students reach higher levels of academic success.

While accountability ratings provide a snapshot of performance, this year's results also highlight important achievements and growth happening across Little Elm ISD campuses.

“We know there is still work to do across all schools, we are proud of the progress our students and staff are making,” said Michael Lamb, Superintendent of Little Elm ISD. “These results show that when we focus on student growth and meet learners where they are, we can make meaningful gains. We are seeing success across our District, and we remain committed to building on that momentum.”

The District celebrates the growth in its reading and literacy scores across all grade levels while also acknowledging the need to improve math scores.

“We adopted new curriculum a couple of years ago in English and Language Arts, and our teachers had to go through extensive training,” said Lamb. “We believe the fruits of our labor are beginning to show. Last year, we adopted a new math curriculum, which we believe will be good for students, and we expect to see improvement just like we did with our reading scores.”

Little Elm High School Makes Significant Gains

Little Elm High School earned a “B” rating, representing an eight-point increase over the past four years.

The campus also earned an “A” in College, Career and Military Readiness, demonstrating its continued commitment to preparing students for success beyond high school.

In addition, Little Elm High School improved in seven areas related to Student Achievement, STAAR performance, School Progress, Academic Growth and Relative Performance.

The results represent significant strides for the campus and demonstrate the impact of a sustained focus on improving outcomes for students.

“Our high school is making tremendous progress,” Lamb said. “To see this kind of growth over a four-year period is a testament to the hard work of our students, teachers and campus leadership. We are moving in the right direction, and we are excited about what is ahead.”

Prestwick Elementary Continues a Tradition of Excellence

Prestwick Elementary earned its second consecutive “A” rating and its third “A” rating overall.

The campus continued to demonstrate strong performance while also showing growth in both School Progress and Academic Growth.

Strike Middle School Reaches New Heights in Student Achievement

Strike Middle School earned an overall score of 79, just one point below its previous year's score. However, the campus saw tremendous growth in Student Achievement, earning an 81 — the highest Student Achievement score in the school's history.

The achievement reflects continued progress and a strong focus on helping more students reach higher levels of academic performance.

Walker Middle School Earns Its First Distinction Designation

Walker Middle School earned an overall score of 78, placing the campus just two points away from a “B” rating.

The campus also earned its first-ever Distinction Designation in Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts, while showing growth in both School Progress and Academic Growth.

The distinction recognizes the work taking place to support student learning and achievement, particularly in reading and language arts.

Celebrating Progress Across Little Elm ISD

Across Little Elm ISD, the 2026 accountability results reveal important pockets of achievement, growth and progress. From student achievement scores to a campus distinction, improved academic growth and continued excellence, the District is proud of the work taking place in classrooms across every campus.

“We are celebrating the achievements we see across our District and are incredibly proud of the dedication our staff continues to show every day,” Lamb said. “At the same time, we are committed to continuing to improve. Our focus moving forward is on growth across all populations of student learners. That is how we will continue to raise achievement, close gaps and improve our overall rating next year.”

Little Elm ISD remains focused on ensuring that every student has the opportunity to grow and succeed. By continuing to target academic growth across all student populations and building on the successes already taking place, the District is committed to moving closer to its goal of earning an even higher accountability rating in the years ahead.
